GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN COUNTERTERRORISM LEADERSHIP

Welcome to the Graduate Certificate in Counterterrorism Leadership. Graduates from this course will demonstrate GLI’s Graduate Attributes. They will embody integrity, professional knowledge and social skills, making a positive contribution to society in the discipline of counterterrorism leadership.

The course draws on the expertise of GLI faculty in counterterrorism leadership and introduces students to a range of counterterrorism leadership technical and theoretical concepts. Graduates will be equipped with writing and research skills to prepare them for further study and will be able to demonstrate an ability to apply a body of knowledge related to counterterrorism leadership in a range of contexts. Graduates will also have developed skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication at a postgraduate level.

Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Counterterrorism Leadership may find employment in a range of professional and educational contexts, policing organisations, police leadership and global counterterrorism organisations that require research skills and critical thinking. This course also allows flexibility for students who may wish to start with a shorter postgraduate course before committing to a Graduate Diploma or Masters program or for students who need to exit the Graduate Diploma or Masters program earlier than intended, due to unforeseen personal or professional reasons.

To qualify for award of Graduate Certificate in Counterterrorism Leadership a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 40 credit points, including satisfactory completion of the core units noted below.
